Funeral Service Held Monday For Robert “Boots” Shook, 86

KEYSVILLE, May 18 – Robert Lee (Boots) Shook Sr., 86, of Keysville, died Saturday, May 15, 2010, at his home.

He was born October 25, 1923, a son of the late Cullen Lee and Hester Maude Shook.

Mr. Shook was a retired radiator repairman, mechanic and farmer. “Boots” was a friend to all.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth P. Shook; two sons, Robert L. “Butch” Shook Jr., and Larry J. “Buddy” Shook and wife, Beth all of Keysville; two daughters, Carolyn S. Rasmussen and husband, John of Hopewell, and Donna S. Newcomb and husband, Bobby of Meherrin; four brothers, Bill Shook of Bowling Green, Tom Shook of Willis, and Leroy and Clyde Shook, and a sister, Lillie Robins all of Keysville; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Shook; three brothers, and a sister.

A funeral service was held Monday, May 17, in Ash Camp Baptist Church with interment in the Ash Camp Memorial Cemetery.
