DILLWYN, June 8 – Mary (Maebelle) Blackwell Hardiman, 94, of Dillwyn, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010. She was the widow of Hampton Newbill Hardiman. She was born on July 8, 1915, in Buckingham County, to the late Joseph and Mattie Rogers Blackwell. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald H. Hardiman.

She is survived by her children, Nancy H. Owen and Roger L. Hardiman, both of Dillwyn; six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Sunday at the Dunkum Funeral Home, with interment in the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
