WINGINA, Dec. 16 – George Ford Cunningham, Sr., 74, of Buckingham County, died Monday, December 15, 2003 at his residence.

Born August 13, 1929 at Norwood (Nelson County), he was a son of the late Frank Cunningham and Carrie Ragland Cunningham.

Mr. Cunningham was a retired foreman with C & 0 Railroad with over 37 years of service.

He is survived by his son, George F. Cunningham, Jr., of Shipman; his daughter, Georgia Ann Taylor of Wingina; his brother, Frank Cunningham, Jr.; his two sisters, Carrie E. Carter of Arrlngton and Hallie Carter of Gladstone; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovlngston with the Rev. Earl Ragland officiating. Interment will follow in the Scottsville Cemetery.
