BUCKINGHAM, Jan. 1 – Joseph Franklin Love, Jr., 83, of Buckingham, died Tuesday, December 30,2003.

He was born September 30, 1920 in Asheville, NC, a son of the late Joseph F. Love, Sr. and Agnes Ashton Love. He was preceded in death by a brother, Craig Love.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth June Garrett Love;

children, Gary J. Love of Buckingham, Rosemary L. Booker of Gladstone and Steven C. Love of Phenix; a sister, Bernice Schuler of Black Mountain, NC; two brothers, Samuel Love and Mac Love both of Black Mountain, NC; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with interment in Buckingham Community Cemetery with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Buckingham Rescue Squad or the Dillwyn Fire Department.
