Gleason appointed director

Thomas Gleason, vice chair of the Commonwealth Regional Council (CRC) was appointed one of six directors to the Virginia Association of Planning District Commissions (VAPDC).

Gleason was past president of the CRC and serves as chairman with the Amelia County Board of Supervisors.

According to an announcement from the VAPDC, other directors elected included Deborah Gosney, Southside Planning District Commission; Robert Lazaro, Northern Virginia Regional Commission; Patrick Mauney, Rappahannock Rapidan-Regional Commission; Linda Millsaps, George Washington Regional Commission; and Lou Ann Wallace, Cumberland Plateau Planning District Commission.

The VAPDC formed from planning district commissions in Virginia in 1987 “to share best practices and further regionalism across the Commonwealth,” according to the announcement.
