Women’s golf adds three for new season

Longwood Women’s Golf Head Coach Megan Weaver announced the addition of three new Lancers for the 2024-25 season.

All three boast strong résumés that will bolster the team, with two freshmen and one transfer that will bring a mix of international and domestic experience. Abigail Sheldon, Hannah Wang, and Chiara Wippert all will join the team this fall.

“I’m really excited to add Abigail, Chiara and Hannah to the team this fall,” said Weaver. “They all have proven tournament results and a lot of potential to have a positive impact on the women’s golf program.”

The Lancers are coming off one of their best finishes in the Big South Tournament in team history, as they advanced to match play for the first time.
