Farmville UMC to host Bishop Haupert-Johnson

Bishop Sue Haupert-JohnsonFarmville United Methodist Church will be hosting Virginia Conference Episcopal leader, Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson, on Sunday March 10 at the 10 a.m. worship. “Bishop Sue” was appointed to the Virginia Annual Conference in 2022, after having served as the resident bishop of the North Georgia Annual Conference from 2016 to 2022.

A Florida native, Bishop Haupert-Johnson is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, University of Florida College of Law (J.D.), and Candler School of Theology at Emory University (M.Div.). She was a federal law clerk and a litigator with the Tampa law firm of Carlton, Fields before she answered her call to ministry.

Bishop Sue’s preaching text will be 2 Corinthians 5:16-21, and her sermon title will be “God’s Extreme Makeover.”

Plan to join us on March 10 as we welcome “Bishop Sue” to Farmville. A nursery will be available. Farmville UMC is located at 212 High Street; parking is available off Randolph St.
