Feeder cattle prices spike, wheat and corn fall

Virginia Market News Service reported the following weekly ag trends on Feb. 16:

In Virginia, state graded feeder cattle mostly 1.00 to 9.00 higher. Feeder cattle at regular auction sales uneven, with steers trending 1.00 to 12.00 higher and heifers 8.00 to 13.00 lower. Slaughter cows uneven, ranging 4.00 lower to 8.00 higher. Wheat new crop .27 lower. Corn .07 to .20 lower, new crop .15 to .20 lower. Soybeans mostly .32 lower, new crop .32 lower.
