Each month during the regularly scheduled meeting, the Cumberland School Board recognizes the Students of the Month for each school. The following students were recognized by School Board members on Thursday, Oct. 3:

• Baillie Troxell, third grader at Cumberland Elementary School, daughter of Steven and Mercades Troxell of Cartersville.

• Mattie Layne, seventh grader at Cumberland Middle School, daughter of Nate and Kateri Layne of Cumberland.

• Roger Jamerson, ninth grader at Cumberland High School, son of Roger and Crystal Jamerson of Cumberland.
