The two sides went to overtime at Radford last season in the first of two meetings, with Longwood pulling away in the extra frame. In the rematch, the Lancers clinched the top overall seed in the Big South Tournament after a win against the Highlanders in Farmville.

Last season, Longwood featured in a pair of Big South Wildcard matchups on ESPNU. The Lancers also hosted ESPNU in Willett Hall for the first time in the building’s illustrious history in a win over USC Upstate.

Up next for Longwood, the team will play at home against USC Upstate on Saturday, Jan. 14. That game is set for 7 p.m. on the ESPN+ streaming service. Then on Wednesday, Jan. 18, the team welcomes Gardner-Webb to Farmville for a game at 7 p.m., also on ESPN+.
