The Longwood men’s basketball team will be back on the national stage when they travel to Radford in two weeks.

The Big South Conference office announced Wednesday morning that the in-state rivalry clash will be the Big South Wildcard that will be featured on ESPNU on Thursday, Jan. 26.

The game, which was originally slated for Wednesday, Jan. 25, will shift back by one day to Thursday, and it will tip off at 7 p.m.

The two sides went to overtime at Radford last season in the first of two meetings, with Longwood pulling away in the extra frame. In the rematch, the Lancers clinched the top overall seed in the Big South Tournament after a win against the Highlanders in Farmville.

Last season, Longwood featured in a pair of Big South Wildcard matchups on ESPNU. The Lancers also hosted ESPNU in Willett Hall for the first time in the building’s illustrious history in a win over USC Upstate.

Up next for Longwood, the team will play at home against USC Upstate on Saturday, Jan. 14. That game is set for 7 p.m. on the ESPN+ streaming service. Then on Wednesday, Jan. 18, the team welcomes Gardner-Webb to Farmville for a game at 7 p.m., also on ESPN+.
