Beginning June 15 and continuing through August 1, the Prince Edward/Nottoway County FSA office will be accepting nominations for candidates to be placed on the election ballot to represent Local Administrative Area (LAA) 2.  This LAA includes the area of Prince Edward County from Farmville east to Nottoway County stopping at Route 617. 

Eligible nominees must participate or cooperate in FSA programs, be of legal voting age, and reside in the LAA in which the person is a candidate.  Individuals may nominate themselves or others to serve on the county committee.  Organizations representing socially disadvantaged minorities and women farmers may also nominate candidates.

Nomination forms (FSA-669A) may be obtained at the Prince Edward/Nottoway County FSA office or online at www.fsa.usda.gov/elections.  To be valid, the nomination form must be signed by the person being nominated, indicating agreement to serve if elected.  The completed nomination form must be returned to the Prince Edward/Nottoway County FSA office by the close of business August 1 or postmarked by midnight August 1.
