The Southside Master Gardener Association Plant Sale that was to be held May 2 at the Halifax Extension Office grounds will not be held as scheduled.

The Master Gardeners want everyone to stay safe and comply with the Stay-at-Home Order issued by Governor Ralph Northam.

If other opportunities open up in the future, we will make you aware of them through the news media.

Anyone with gardening questions may email ask@ ssmga.org. Right now, staff is not available to answer phone calls personally. A response will be received for callers who leave a message with a phone number. The Master Gardeners are considering other options to get horticultural information to the public.

Also, the April 18 Shiitake Mushroom workshop has been canceled. If conditions are back to normal, expect a workshop to be held in spring 2021.

When things return to normal expect to see the Master Gardeners “in all the old familiar places.”
