Drive in sunrise service planned

The Cumberland County Landfill Alert Committee will not be hosting its regular monthly meeting Sunday, April 5, at 3 p.m. at the Cumberland Community Center due to the coronavirus.

The Cumberland Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary located on Old Buckingham Road (Route 13) Cumberland has canceled the Spring Fling Dance on April 18.

Buckingham Baptist Church located at 24234 North James Madison Highway in the Goldhill Area of New Canton will host a special drive-in service for its annual Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday, April 12 at 6:30 a.m. All those planning to attend the service will drive into the parking lot and are to remain in their cars throughout the duration of the service, having no contact with individuals while there and must leave following the service.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a non-profit organization, has canceled its regular monthly meeting for Monday, April 6 at Hatcher Baptist Church of Cumberland due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The 2020 annual spring Miles Reunion scheduled for Saturday, April 25, at the Golden Corral in Midlothian has been canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
