CVFD assists with vehicle fire at bridge

Cumberland Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD) was dispatched at approximately 2:25 p.m. Sunday, March 15, to assist the Cartersville Volunteer Fire Department with a vehicle fire on Columbia Road at the Willis River Bridge.
Units arrived to find the vehicle fully involved. According to CVFD member Ben Pfeiffer, crews operated on scene for approximately one hour before the vehicle was removed by a wrecker. No injuries were reported and the fire was believed to have been related to an electrical malfunction.
