William Richard ‘Dick’ Seay

William Richard “Dick” Seay, 87, of Mt. Rush Highway, Dillwyn, died Thursday, January 30, 2020, at Southside Community Hospital. He was the husband of Jean Carol Moore Seay.

Born in Buckingham County, on March 2, 1932, he was a son of the late Janie Cook and Charlie Robert Seay. He was a member of Antioch-Union Baptist Church and a retired owner and operator of Seay Logging.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Seay McFalls and husband, Billy Ray of Buckingham; a son, Richard Dwayne Seay of Franklin; five grandchildren, Lutisha, Samantha, Josh, Emma, and Hunter; and three great-granddaughters, Makayla, Samantha, and Haley.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Omar, and David Seay.

A graveside funeral service officiated by Deacon Larry Fish was held 2 p.m., Sunday, February 2, 2020, in Union Cemetery, 2135 Austin Road, Gladstone.
