The No. 8-seeded Hampden-Sydney College (H-SC) men’s basketball team dropped a season-ending 80-61 decision to No. 1 seed and No. 5 nationally ranked Randolph-Macon College (R-MC) in the quarterfinals of the 2020 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament Friday afternoon, Feb. 28, at Salem Civic Center in Salem.

Freshman Ryan Clements scored 19 points, and sophomore Jack Wyatt added 15 points for the Tigers (14-13), who trailed 40-24 at halftime before closing to within 64-57 with 6:36 remaining. Josh Talbert scored a game-high 20 points for the Yellow Jackets (24-2), who made 14 3-point field goals and closed the contest on a 16-4 run for the victory.

H-SC completes the 2019-20 campaign under first-year Head Coach Caleb Kimbrough with 14 wins, the most for the program since 2015-16 when it won 17. The 2019-20 run represented a 10-win improvement from a season ago, and the Tigers could return as many as 15 lettermen for next season.
