Geraldine Angeline Cicuzza Bush, 94, of Farmville, passed away peacefully and gracefully on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Centra Southside Community Hospital. She enjoyed being physically active and spending time with family and friends. “Gerri”, as she was affectionately known to everyone who knew her, also enjoyed learning and trying new things even late in life, including learning how to play the guitar. She was active in numerous civic groups and her church, St. Theresa’s Catholic Church of Farmville, Virginia.

A proud and devoted mother, she is survived by her children Barbara Burke, Bill Bush, and Bobby Bush, as well as nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Ann Chambers, granddaughter Genna Marie Wiley, and her husband of 43 years William Earl Bush. Married in 1947, the two called Northwest Pennsylvania home until the early 1970s when they relocated to Farmville. Always willing to give, she died as she lived—donating her body to science in lieu of a formal funeral or service. Her final resting place will be Arlington National Cemetery with her husband. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
