Curtis C. Dedmond, 91 of Farmville, VA passed away on February 5, 2020 at his home. He retired as a corrections officer and loved to fish in his spare time.

He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda, two sons Curtis Lee and Roger Dale and his parents John and Grace Dedmond.

He is survived by two sons; Jimmy and Johnny (Tina), one daughter Sharon Steinke (Wayne), 5 grandchildren; Gracie Montrose, Laurla Beth Worley, Jimmy Lee Dedmond, Jessica Steinke and Jennifer Steinke, three great grandchildren; Tristan Dedmond, Ryan Montrose, Bristol Dedmond and Isabelle Montrose.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8, at 11 a.m. in Concord Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 7, from 6-8 p.m. at Shorter Funeral Home.
