The Cumberland Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD) responded at approximately 9:32 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, for a report of a single-vehicle accident on Sunnyside Road in Cumberland County.

Firefighters arrived on scene to find the vehicle had traveled off the road and possibly overturned before coming to rest upright. Several trees had been knocked down during the accident, and broken limbs were on top of the vehicle at the scene.

The female driver was conscious and out of the vehicle when CVFD arrived. She was transported to Chippenham Hospital in Richmond for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries by Cumberland EMS.

CVFD Rescue 21 responded to the incident.
