Route changes for holidays

The Town of Farmville is set to change its garbage pickup routes as the town offices will be closed Friday, Jan. 17 and Monday, Jan. 20 for Lee-Jackson Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
There will be no business or cardboard collection on Friday, Jan. 17 or Monday, Jan. 20.
Monday and Tuesday residential routes, along with curbside recycling and miscellaneous call in collection, will be run on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Business garbage and cardboard will only be collected on Tuesday and Friday for the week of Jan. 20-24. Loose leaf pickup by vacuum truck will end on Thursday, Jan. 16. Loose leaf pickup by vacuum truck will end on Thursday, Jan. 17. After this date all leaves will need to be bagged for collection. Remember to remove all debris (limbs, sticks, etc.) from the loose leaves. If there are any questions, call the Department of Public Works at (434) 392-3331.
