Central Virginia Christian School (CVCS) presented “A Home for Christmas” to a sold-out Jarman Auditorium crowd on Dec. 19. One hundred and sixty students in grades pre-K through eight were featured throughout the program, which began when Mr. Big Bucks, played by Gavin Yoder, announced he was closing the Bethlehem Orphanage. The orphans remained positive and prayed for a miracle. In the end, Mr. Big Bucks becomes part of God’s family, and he adopts all of the orphans who go to live with him in his mansion.

The next meeting for the Buckingham Triad will be held on Jan. 9 at the Buckingham VFW building on Route 60, starting at 1:30 p.m. All seniors are welcome to attend these informational meetings.

When considering if your child should join a 4-H Club experience, consider this: 4-H clubs provide opportunities for youth to develop positive relationships with peers and adults, be actively involved in their own learning, contribute as active citizens through community service and leadership, develop skills that will help them succeed, and recognize, understand, and appreciate others. Call the Buckingham Extension office at (434) 969-4261 for ways your child can get involved.

Our thoughts continue to be with our Amish neighbors who were recently involved in a tragic traffic accident. Please remain cautious and vigilant as you travel roads throughout our county. Watch for horse and buggies and slow-moving vehicles. Travel safely.

Wishing everyone a healthy and happy new year. May you experience many blessings in the coming year.
