Bluegrass concert set

The Cumberland County Landfill Alert Committee is hosting its regular monthly meeting Sunday, Feb. 9 at 3 p.m. at the Cumberland Community Center located at 45 South and Davenport Road in Cumberland.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide Cumberland County residents and surrounding counties with updated information about this mega landfill. All are welcome.

Sympathy is extended to the Boyles Family of Cumberland. James Franklin Boyles, age 85, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Jan. 22. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association will host its regular monthly meeting Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1 p.m. at the Welcome Wesleyan Church located at 26599 North James Madison Highway. All members and prospective members are welcome to attend and bring a covered dish for lunch. This will be followed by our business.
