Friends of the Barbara Rose Johns Farmville/ Prince Edward Community Library hosted an appreciation breakfast for members of the town council and the Prince Edward Board of Supervisors Wednesday, Jan. 22 at the Farmville branch.

Guests enjoyed a delicious assortment of foods while hearing reports from Rick Ewing, the director of the Central Virginia Regional Library, the Farmville Branch Manager Morgan Hayes and from Megan Newcomb, the youth services coordinator. Vicky Page, fundraising chair for the Friends, shared the progress the Farmville branch has made over the years and thanked the local government representatives for their continuous support.

The morning’s activities ended with a tour of the building including the newly refreshed computer lab.
