Alice Marie Taylor Newton, 72, of Dillwyn died January 13, 2020. She was born December 9, 1947, a daughter of the late James A. and Grace M. Taylor. She is survived by her son, James T. Stone Jr. (April); the joy of her life, granddaughter Harlee Marie Stone; step-granddaughter, Kaylee May; two sisters, Brenda Ellis (Bill) and Sarah Killen (Mack); two brothers, James Taylor (Sue) and Robert Taylor (Wanda); special cousins, Doris Hall and Francis Hardin; special friend, Mary Woodson and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Tiny E. Taylor and Peggy Kirby and brother, Don Taylor.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, at 1 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn with interment in the Dillwyn Town Cemetery. The family received friends on Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
