Mr. Nicholas Blake “Nick” Conner of South Boston, VA passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in Henderson, NC. He was born in Halifax County, VA on October 27, 1995 and was 24 years old. He was the son of Michael Blake Conner and Jellpa J. Conner, both who survive. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was a graduate of Longwood University where he was a member of Gamma Psi Fraternity.

He is survived by his parents, Michael and Jellpa Conner of South Boston; brother, Dale Edward Conner of Scottsburg; maternal grandfather, Pablito Javellana of the Phillipines; special grandmother, Bernice Inez Conner of South Boston; aunt, Susan Conner of Scottsburg; uncles and cousins, Carson and Rebecca Conner of Millersville, MD and Ernie and Mary Jean Hogan of Pensacola, FL; almost brother, Ernie “Butter” Hogan Jr. of Pensacola, FL; many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edward and Lettie Short Conner and his maternal grandmother, Jelly Javellana.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28, at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Jesse Young officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Friday evening from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at his home, 2003 Boodie Trail, South Boston.
