Cartersville Baptist Church will present the cantata, “Good News From Home,” on Friday, Dec. 20, and Sunday, Dec. 22, at 7 p.m.

The cantata will tell the Christmas story in word and song. The narration will be read by Fred Shumaker. The musical will include solos, adult choir and a children’s choir. Solos will be presented by Victory Kinney, Jennifer Norman and Dave Hale.

First sopranos are Nancy Lewis, Denise Bryant and Victoria Kinney. Second sopranos are Jenny Bales, Wanda Johnston, June Pleasants, Tina Shumaker, Laura Broadwater, Brianna Barker, Katherine Kinney and Amber Wenzig. Altos are Jennifer Norman, Earlene Canaan and Linda Stanley. Tenors are Dover Johnston, Spanky Pleasants and Darryl Dunn. Basses are Fred Shumaker, Dave Hale, David Mack, Joseph Wenzig and Wayne Poates. The children’s choir will also sing.

Nancy Lewis will direct the children’s choir. The director/pianist is Vivian Dunn. Everyone is welcome to attend. Refreshments will follow in the fellowship hall.
