Town of Dillwyn holds trick-or-treating
Due to the weather forecast, the annual Town of Dillwyn trick-or-treating event, sponsored by the Buckingham Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Dillwyn, was rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 2. On that Saturday, the streets were filled with children and parents. It is estimated that over 1,500 children attended the event. Even though the lines were long, the children waited patiently in line for the candy, saying thank you. The street was closed down completely and the children got to walk to each house. It is enjoyable and safe for the children. Business owners, citizens of the town who donated money, candy and time to give the candy out, helped to make this event a success. Melissa Louis Wallace coordinated the event.
