Tigers earn first win of season

Senior captain and guard/forward Kevin Quinn scored a game-high and season-high 17 points off the bench to lead Hampden-Sydney College (H-SC) to its first basketball win of the season, a 62-52 non-conference road triumph at Gallaudet University on Wednesday night, Nov. 20, in Washington, D.C., a H-SC Athletics press release highlighted.
Officials noted in the release that sophomore forward/center Jack Wyatt added his second double-double this season for the Tigers, finishing with 13 points and a game-high and career-high 12 rebounds, while senior guard Chaise Johnson had 10 points.
This game marks the first program win for first-year Tigers Head Coach Caleb Kimbrough, the release stated.
Hampden-Sydney (1-3) hosts archrival Randolph-Macon College (5-0) on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m.
