Fire Safety Week is held annually during the month of October. To celebrate our fire safety heroes, the Fuqua School K/1 classes had a visit from the Farmville Fire Department. During the visit, students learned more about a firefighter’s job. Fire Chief Dean Farmer and Firefighter Travis Finch arrived on the ladder truck. They showed the students all the equipment and explained its purpose. Students were also able to climb inside the truck to see from a firefighter’s point of view. The students learned a lot and had a great time.
