Virginia State Police (VSP) are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that took place late Saturday evening in Prince Edward County, VSP Public Relations Director Corinne N. Geller cited in a Monday morning press release.

She noted that VSP Trooper L.W. Atkins is investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 11 p.m. Saturday on Saylers Creek Road, less than a mile north of U.S. Route 460.

“A 1982 Chevrolet C10 was traveling south on Saylers Creek Road and was coming into a curve when the driver lost control of the vehicle,” Geller said in the release. “The vehicle spun off the left side of the road and struck an embankment.”
