Tigers fall to Generals, 43-24

Hampden-Sydney College’s (H-SC) football team trailed just 20-17 at halftime before visiting Washington and Lee University used a 23-7 advantage in the second half to claim a 43-24 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win on Saturday afternoon.
The visiting Generals (3-1, 2-0 ODAC) compiled 521 yards of total offense. The host Tigers (1-3, 0-2 ODAC) had 338 yards of offense, led by senior captain and quarterback Clay Vick with 312 yards passing and one touchdown, while sophomore running back Kaleb Smith had 148 yards receiving on 10 catches and one score.
H-SC visits Emory & Henry College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
