The Third Thursday Book Club held the first meeting of the 2019-20 year at the home of Cindy Hart. The speaker was Ken Woodley, former editor of The Farmville Herald and author of the recently published book, “The Road to Healing: A Civil Rights Reparation Story in Prince Edward County, Virginia.” His book is a first-person account of his fight to win passage of a state-funded scholarship program for the casualties of massive resistance.
