Pedestrian struck while crossing street

The Farmville Police Department is currently investigating a motor vehicle accident involving a 2010 Honda CRV that struck a pedestrian.
According to a release from the Farmville Police Department, the accident occurred just north of the intersection of Clark Street and South Main Street, Tuesday evening around 8:46 p.m.
The release stated, “The 2010 Honda was traveling north on South Main Street when two pedestrians attempted to cross the street. One of the pedestrians was struck by the oncoming SUV.”
The pedestrian, a white female, age 31, was transported to Centra Southside Community Hospital with severe, but non-life threatening injuries.
According to the release, she was later transported to the University of Virginia Medical Center.
