JROTC participates in Special Olympics 10K

The Buckingham County High School JROTC Raider Team competed in the 25th annual Gene Arnold, 10K, Special Olympics run, held at Meriwether Lewis Elementary School, Charlottesville, on Sept. 14. The Raider Team donated $580 to Area 3 Special Olympics and fielded 26 runners and walkers. The Male Team, age 15 and under, would place first and second with Matthew Peery and Aiden Houchins earning the top two spots, while Tyler Moore would place third in the 16 to 17-year-old Male Division. The Raider Team has been an active participant in Area 3 Special Olympics since 2013.
