Eva Philbeck, 78, of Farmville, Virginia passed away on August 11, 2019. She was born in Rice, Virginia on December 12, 1940 to the late Thomas A. and Elizabeth Lindsey Ellington. Eva is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Eugene M. Philbeck. Eva, also known as Gigi, loved to adventure and travel. Eva and Gene traveled together seeing over 18 different countries and most all of the United States. Gigi truly enjoyed spending time in her gardens and fishing with family and friends. Above all, she was devoted to her family. Her genuine and unconditional, loving heart touched many – and she will forever be remembered.

She is survived by her husband, Gene and daughter Lisa Philbeck Meadows (Billy, “B.J.” – Husband) of Farmville, a brother Al Ellington (Bobbi – Wife), two sisters – Mary “Tommie” Ellison (Jim – Husband), and Anne Crafton. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Cody Meadows (Heather- Wife), and Casey M. Tharpe (Nick – Husband), and three great grandchildren, Walker Tharpe, Laurel Kate Meadows, and Ashlin Tharpe.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Farmville United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Puckett Funeral Home.
