Summer has officially arrived

Happy birthday wishes go out this week to the following people: Irene Shumake of Farmville and Ann Jones of New Canton both celebrating birthdays on June 22, Cathy Midkiff of Cumberland on June 23, and Peggy Johnson of Buckingham and Grace Ownby of North Carolina both on June 24.

We celebrated Father’s Day at Hatcher Baptist Church with a very special and unique transition. After 20 years of faithful service God allowed us to send out Pastor Cameron and the Cloud Family to their new church in North Carolina on Father’s Day, while welcoming our new pastor, Mike Meade and his wife Kaylee. When God calls one of His servants away, He brings another one of His servants to continue. And when God closes one chapter in the story of His church, He begins another chapter. We thank the Lord for His guiding hand on our church and look forward to the future in the days ahead of us. Psalm 118:23 “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.”

Happy anniversary wishes go out this week to John and Cathy Trammel of Farmville on June 26.
