Robbery reported at store

Farmville Police Department is seeking information on an armed robbery reported on Monday night, June 3, at the JW’s Express store, located in the 200 block of East Third Street in the Town of Farmville.
According to police, “the suspect entered into the business as it was preparing to close, and displayed a knife to the clerk. The suspect then proceeded to take money from the register drawer. The suspect then exited the business through the front door running in an unknown direction.”
The release from the Farmville Police Department cited that there were no customers in the business at the time of the armed robbery, and no employees were injured.
The suspected was reported as a black male, dressed in all black and wearing a hoodie and a mask covering his face.
