Each year the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) sponsors an art show and competition at the spring regional forums. The VSBA Southside Regional Forum was held March 7 at Powhatan Middle School. Student art was displayed and judged at the forum. Winners received ribbons and all participants received certificates. The winning artwork was framed and rotated for display in the offices of the secretary of education, the department of education and the VSBA office for one year before being returned to the student.
