The 41st annual Hudgins Family Reunion will be held Sunday, May 19, from noon – 5 p.m. at the home of James and Virginia Boyles located at 281 Agee Lane, Cumberland. All family members and guests are welcome to attend and bring your favorite dish.

Cumberland County Landfill Alert Committee welcomes all citizens of Cumberland County and surrounding counties to a community meeting concerning the proposed landfill to learn more and receive information about the stand against this issue. There will be a yard sale and craft fair May 4, from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Southworth Power Equipment, 1273 Anderson Hwy., Cumberland, to benefit Cumberland County Landfill Alert Committee. Vendors are welcome. Reserve your space by May 1 by calling (804) 308-5748. Donations gladly accepted. Items left over will be auctioned off on-site at 1:30 p.m.

Cumberland County Landfill Alert Committee is now selling Krispy Kreme products to raise money to fight the mega landfill in Cumberland County. All sales are prepaid. Delivery date will be May 4 at Southworth Power Equipment located at 1273 Andersonville Highway from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. To order call (804) 308-5748.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a nonprofit organization, will be hosting their regular monthly meeting on Monday, May 6, at 5 p.m. at Merks Place Restaurant in Farmville. All members and their guests are welcome to attend and plan to pay for their own meal. The Cumberland County Board of Supervisors monthly meeting is held every second Tuesday unless otherwise announced at 7 p.m. in the Cumberland County Courtroom.

The 2019 Annual Spring Miles Reunion was held Saturday, April 27, at Golden Corral, Southside in Richmond. A nice crowd enjoyed great food, fun and fellowship.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a nonprofit organization, is sponsoring a one day bus trip to The Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre (WHDT) in Wytheville, to the show called “A Country Gospel.” WHDT is happy to present its version of “good ol’” country gospel. The production will feature favorite songs that we grew up singing from spiritual, happy, hand-clapping numbers to sweet beautiful inspirational hymns played by its own talented musicians. So come and join us in this opportunity to praise the Lord. Pickup will be at the Food Lion in Dillwyn, Farmers Bank parking lot in Appomattox and Walmart parking lot in Lynchburg.
