Disagree with Northam

I am writing in response to comments and messaging by Governor Ralph Northam about very late term abortion and allowing or helping babies to die even after birth — infanticide.
My son, Josh, heard the governor’s comments and was horrified. You see Josh has a diagnosis of autism. He understands what people say and often has great insight into what they actually mean as well. His words, when he heard the governor speak were “That would be me they would let die or kill because I have a disability. I have a good life; why would someone have the right to take that away?”
Why indeed? Josh is right. By what authority or any sense of morality does someone have the right to take the life a child who, like all newborn children, need and deserve our care and protection?
This culture of death has gone way too far, and I don’t believe we have even heard all of the outrage Governor Northam’s statements are causing. Other stories have been put forward by our news stations to distract people from his spoken words supporting infanticide. Let’s get back to those comments and examine them to see if this governor is even fit to govern. Someone who advocates for death of innocent Virginians should not have any position in governing the people of this great Commonwealth.
