William ‘W.D.’ Dancy McCraw Jr.

William “W.D.” Dancy McCraw Jr, 60 of Cartersville and Cumberland, VA area before moving to North Georgia area almost 10 years ago. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Tabernacle and was a truck driver by trade for more than 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, any brand of racing and riding motorcycles. He loved to play pranks on family and friends and was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather that will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother Jean McCraw.

Survivors include his loving wife, Debra Kay Surber McCraw, father William “Bill” Dancy and (Helen) McCraw, Sr, children; Brian Wayne (Niki) Bishop, William Dancy McCraw III, Jennifer Christine Hunter, Melissa Kay (Michael) Thomason, Matthew Ryan McCraw, Carol Elizabeth McCraw, Alan Jackson (Brooklyn) Bishop; grandchildren, Dustin Shane Bishop, Morgan Brianna Bishop, Robert Alexander Bishop, Memphis Jackson Bishop, Denver McCraw Bishop, Briella Kay Apostal, Emily Mae Apostal, Piper Hope Keeling McCraw; brothers, Wayne Taylor McCraw, Robert Edward (Janet) McCraw, Earl Nicholas (Donna) McCraw; two nieces, two nephews, one great-niece, two great-nephews and yet to be determined and numerous extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 5, at 3 p.m. at Shilo Church, Rt. 60 Cumberland, VA. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
