Buckingham County High School’s varsity softball team visited Fuqua School on Wednesday and fell 9-2, dropping the Lady Knights’ overall record this year to 2-5.
“We’re not where I expected us to be,” Buckingham Head Coach Mark Christian said. “… We have not been consistent, and it shows.”
However, he saw progress Wednesday.
“We’re not mentally tough enough, but we’re working on it,” he said. “Today I could pull out some things that were good, because I have seen in the past where we get down six runs and we falter, but we were able to push some across the board and keep it competitive. I was proud of that.”
