Sorority sponsors HBCU trip

Seniors from Prince Edward County High School and Amelia County High School visited the Virginia State University campus to attend homecoming activities. The trip was sponsored by the Kappa Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated as the chapter’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities culminating activity. The event included a tour of the campus and attendance to the homecoming parade and game. Students were able to experience some of what college life is like. Pictured are, from left, Aladria Davis and Gabriel Davis from Prince Edward County High School and Jamon Reed and Tyffani Royal from Amelia County High School. Sorority members in attendance were Shanta Bland, Vera Cooke-Merritt, Jacqueline Gooden-Seay, Bianka Goodman and Sonia Witcher.
