Representatives from 26 colleges and companies gathered in the Buckingham County High School (BCHS) gymnasium April 5. With the assistance of guidance counselors, college adviser, career coach and administration, the FFA organized an opportunity for all BCHS students to have the opportunity to explore secondary college institutions and career opportunities. Students were able to talk to representatives and discover what the organizations had to offer. They also learned about job duties, qualifications, internships and employment opportunities. Colleges and universities ranged from Virginia Tech to Southside Community College with agencies such as Dominion Energy, Tyson, Peter Francisco Soil & Water Conservation District and the Department of Forestry.
