Area artist visits Fuqua

Area resident, Mariah Bryant visited Fuqua School’s sixth grade art classes to present a workshop. Bryant, a former Fuqua School student, is a recent graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Sequential Art. Her artwork can be seen throughout the area, including most recently in the local event, Handmade Farmville. She is also a published graphic novelist and helped share her passion for graphic design by working with Fuqua students using iPads and Apple Pencils to create computer-generated art.

Bryant will host a summer camp at Fuqua School — Graphic Art 101. Through this camp, students will be able to render their creative visions into reality on state-of-the-art Apple products — industry standard for graphic artists, movie directors, animators, sound designers, illustrators and comic book creators. Campers will have access to sophisticated apps used by professionals and emerge with the confidence to take on the digital world. Each day, campers will learn new programs, effects, tools and techniques and even how to take their traditional artwork from paper to screen.
