On Saturday, March 30, Friends of the Appomattox River conducted its annual Spring Waterways Cleanup. Fifty bags of trash, weighing 842 pounds, were removed from Gross Creek, Sandy River Reservoir, Briery Creek Lake and Wilck’s Lake. FAR wishes to thank the members who participated, Hampden-Sydney College volunteers, and the Town of Farmville for its continued support.
