Members of the Kappa Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. collected over 75 coats, jackets, and winter accessories thanks to the supportive communities of Southside Virginia. This activity was one of several community service projects of the sorority. This year, the items have been donated to the Buckingham County Elementary and Prince Edward County Elementary Schools. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is a community service organization whose motto is “Service to All Mankind.” Pictured is Sarah Kennedy, school counselor at Buckingham Elementary School.
