Truman Fender, 71 of Crewe, VA, passed away Tuesday March 19, 2019. Truman was retired from the Richmond Times Dispatch.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. Truman was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents Roosevelt & Nola Davis Fender and brother Arnold Fender. He is survived by his son, Chris Fender (Jenny), Fiancé Diane Banton, two stepsons, Ed Banton (Debra) and Jason Boyles, three sisters Jean Marlor (Charlie), May Atkins (Ernest) and Hazel Graves (Paul), three brothers Danny Fender (Dorothy) Howard Fender (Jean) and Harold Fender, grandchildren, Dale Fender, Makenzie Fender and several step-grandchildren .

Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m., Monday March 25 from Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia. The family received friends on Sunday, March 24 from 6-8 p.m. at the Jennings-McMillian Funeral Home, 200 W. Carolina Ave., Crewe.
