The United Way of Prince Edward County distributed $45,000 to its 22 local nonprofit partners during a recent luncheon at the Robert Russa Moton Museum. Rucker Snead, president of the United Way’s all-volunteer board of directors, said this is the most the group has been able to give out at one time in years and $10,000 more than was shared at the same time last year. Snead notes that about 94 percent of the funds raised by the United Way of Prince Edward County is distributed to its area partners.
